Ok so two years ago i moved away from a town up in the Sierras i think that’s how you spell it lol any way i thought i had ok friends there and yes some were ok friends but others were not i’m going to start freshmen year next year and need to know….is it easy making new friends in high-school it has always sounded so hard but i hope it’s not my town is small rather close-minded but i’m outgoing loud and love to tease my hair and wear crazy neon colors do you think i’ll just be some strange loner in this old town of mine or will i maybe find someone like me? also is it easy to drop old and cruel friends or will my fears be true and i will simply be suckered into some peer pressured relationship with them again and be put down and laughed at like i always used to? plz answer long and meaningful answers i read them all.
it sounds like it will be easy for you to make friends at your new high school. since your outgoing and loud, that is always something that is good to make friends. it’s probably easier for you to talk to people you don’t know so making friends will be easy. for dropping old and cruel friends, that can be hard. just make sure the friends you make at school are people you want to hang out with and not just using you or something like that. just be yourself and get to know the people at this school before you start going out. changing schools is hard, but you will get with everything once you be yourself and not let other people bother you. good luck:)

A Metal Guitar Lesson
Metal guitar is a very popular genre with people who feel that negativity and hopelessness are not getting a fair go in modern music. If you are reading an article called “Metal Guitar Lesson” you probably have an idea about what Metal is but if you don’t, the best way to describe it is by listing some Metal groups.
The genre originated with the loud, in-your-face music of the late sixties and early seventies pioneered by guitar players like Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. This style quickly moved onto another definition of the word “music” where melody fades into the background to give way to the quantity and quality of sound the guitar player is able to produce. Iron Maiden and Judas Priest are early Metal guitar groups. Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Motorhead and Slayer, Sodom, Kreator, Destruction, Children of Bodom, Tankard, Testament and Pantera are also well established but represent the more ruthless Metal guitar music known as Thrash Metal.
Every metal guitar player needs to be a fantastic string bender. The whammy bar on your guitar will change the pitch of your strings but if you have a cheap guitar you might have a problem with strings breaking. It’s best if you do it the non-whammy bar way which is pick a note and move the string sideways to bend the note up.
To get that chugging effect so desired by heavy metal guitarists, you will need to learn to mute the strings. If you have been listening to Metal guitar, you will have heard the sound, so now follow the description to find a comfortable way of MAKING the sound: simplay hold your pick in the usual playing position and place the pinky side of your hand on the strings to muffle the sound. Now take a few minutes to slowly find a way so you can pick notes on the sixth string while your hand is still muting the sound. As you become more familiar with picking in this position, you will be able to extend your range of palm muting techniques.
Once you have palm muting working for you, you could start to master machine-gun picking. This is lightning-fast up and down strokes with the pick. It takes some practice but you will be glad you did when you start combining this standard metal guitar technique with palm muting.
Vocals are not the strong point of Thrash Metal so let’s get to the equipment you need to become a Thrash Metal guitar player. Distortion is an important part of Metal so a distortion pedal is essential. You will need the usual guitar stuff like plectrums and a tuner and a metronome.
The musical background you need for learning Metal guitar is much the same as for blues players. The major, minor, pentatonic, minor harmonic scales will be handy plus the phrygian, lochrian and byzantine modes. You might want to learn to read music or at least, tab.
Another characteristic of Metal guitar is the use of drop tunings. If you play Metal your guitar should be tuned low. It gives you a totally different kind of control over your strings, your sound is more aggressive and you can do more with hammer-ons and tapping. You could just begin by tuning your guitar half a step down. Not a drastic change but it makes your guitar sound more growly without losing all the high range. Or you could take your strings down a whole step so that your guitar is tuned D G C F A D.
If you take your tuning one and a half steps or two steps down your guitar is now sounding menacing. If you want to tune your guitar any lower than two steps down, a longer than normal neck will stop the strings from moving around too much.

The Internet and Mixtapes
For those of you who are not in the know, a mixtape is a compilation of songs, tracks, drops, skits, and rap freestyles recorded onto a compact audio cassette or compact audio disc. Mixtapes originated in the 70′s by popular Disc Jockeys (DJ’s) based in New York City. Pioneering DJ’s such as Kool Herc, Hollywood, Afrika Bambaataa and Grandmaster Flash would perform at clubs, parties and parks throughout the city and at the same time they would record these events onto audio cassettes. These popular audio cassettes were initially called “party tapes” then as time went on they later became known as “mixtapes”.
As hip-hop music progressed mixtapes became a sub culture of the whole hip-hop movement. During the 80′s and 90′s mixtapes gained popularity throughout major cities and small towns within the United States and eventually throughout the world.
Mixtapes have grown more popular over the years mainly due to the internet. I can recall only a couple of years ago there were only about ten or so major mixtape websites on the net, now there are literally several hundred. Some have popped up over night & have disappeared just as quickly. If you take the opportunity to google the word mixtapes you’ll see exactly what I mean.
There was a time when you could log onto a mixtape website and only purchase the “sticker or cover” of a mixtape in order to receive the actual physical mixtape(s). Now there are websites that allow you to download entire mixtapes for a membership fee. This method is cheaper and a quicker way of getting access to the hot music you want to hear, mainly because you won’t have to pay for shipping fees and wait for the mixtapes to be delivered. But the original method of obtaining mixtapes via online and having them shipped to your door or P.O. Box may still be the most popular.
I’m not too sure how long this online mixtape game will last, but for now enjoy it!

Poker In Montana – Texas Holdem Split Pots
To better understand the game of Texas holdem poker you must know the basic terms used in the game. Suits are spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs. Suited is the term for having the same suit. Rank refers to the order of the cards, example Jack, Queen and Ace. Texas holdem split pot happens when multiple players tie for a hand, then pot is split up evenly among the winners. Kicker refers to the other cards left over after a hand is declared.

The pot is split only in cases where the kicker does not apply or is not relevant. Where the best five cards are held by both players then the pot is split. One example that can best explain this situation is when; the community card is composed of Queen, 9, 9, 8 and Ace. Player A has King-Queen and player B has Queen-Jack.
The best possible hand that two players can make is 9, 9, Queen, Queen and ace. Notice the Ace beats both kickers so it is the best kicker. If that Ace didn’t hit on the last card, then the player with the King would have one based on his kicker.
Here is another example of a split pot in a situation where two players have a straight. One player has 4 clubs and Jack diamonds. Another player has 3 hearts and Jack spades. The community cards are 10 hearts, 9 diamonds, 7 spades, 8 clubs and 2 diamonds. The hands that both players can make are jack high straight.
If the best possible five card hand is a straight, the kickers don’t apply. The decision in this case is a split pot since the two players can make the same hand. In case of a tie in a full house, the pot will be split. Holdem poker has never given precedence to one suite over the other. The type of suit a player has is not a tie-breaking factor either.

I see they are still available for download, NES games, SNES, Sega Genesis. Although I know there are legality issues, for such old games, do I need to worry about downloading them?
The long and short of it is, no you shouldn’t download and play them on your computer. There are a great deal of lousy myths about this. Just bear in mind that 95% of what’s online is usually opinion and not fact (you get what you pay for).

If you really want to play retro games, get the Nintendo Wii, as the built in Virtual Console allows you to play not just games from NES/SNES or Genesis, but from other systems as well. It works out to something like $3-5 dollars a game.

When to Choose Paintless Dent Repair
Paintless dent repair is a wonderful solution for many types of vehicle body repairs. It is more affordable than traditional repairs, preserves the value of a vehicle, eliminates the use of environmentally harmful chemicals and solvents in the repair process, and takes much less time to complete. It is covered by most insurance policies and typically comes with a workmanship guarantee. Many paintless dent repair companies will even travel to your home or office and complete the repair while you wait.
There are a number of situations in which paintless dent repair is the better choice over traditional repairs made at a body shop. These scenarios are outlined below.
1) Hail damage. Hail damage can cause a large amount of damage to vehicles located across a wide geographic area. In such cases, body shops can become backed up for months at a time as they become overwhelmed by the sheer volume of repair claims to which they must attend. Paintless dent repair provides an option for quick repair of hail damaged vehicles without the hassles of having to deal with body shops. As hail damage does not usually cause sharp creases in the metal or chip the paint, paintless dent repair is an ideal solution to restore your car to its original finish.
2) Dings. Dings can be caused by a variety of factors, ranging from shopping cart damage to pebbles thrown against your car while driving to dings from the impact of a car door in a parking lot. These types of dings can be very annoying, but fortunately are prime candidates for paintless dent repair. The dings usually occur on the hood of a vehicle (pebble or stone damage) or along the broad side body panels of a vehicle (shopping cart damage and dings from car doors). The broad, relatively flat surfaces of the panels affected by such damage does not require the services of a body shop. In fact, if you were to take your car to a body shop for the repair of this type of damage they would likely use paintless dent repair anyway.
3) Fender benders. More serious dents than those described above can occur in minor collisions with other vehicles or stationary objects. Don’t let the size of the dent discourage you from seeking the assistance of a paintless dent repair professional – it is not the size of the dent which makes a repair a good candidate, it is rather the type of a dent. A broad shallow dent in a body panel can usually be fixed using this method. Even many creases can be repaired in this manner provided the paint is not chipped or otherwise damaged.
While the vast majority of damage that can occur to the body of a vehicle can be repaired using PDR methodology, there are some damages that are not appropriate for this type of service. Some examples of damages not suitable for paintless dent repair would be sharp creases, punctures in the metal, tears in the metal, or in any situation in which the original finish of the vehicle is not intact (such as broken or chipped paint, scratches, and scraping).
If you are in doubt about whether or not your vehicle can benefit from paintless dent repair, it is best to take it to a PDR specialist for an opinion prior to taking it to a body shop. You would be surprised at the many types of vehicle damage that are responsive to PDR

Question for appliance salespeople: What does “scratch and dent” mean?
I am shopping for a fridge and washer and dryer. I stopped at an appliance store and saw a lot of washers and dryers in the front of the store marked “scratch and dent.” They were much cheaper than the new ones.
Is scratch and dent just what it seems, a few scratches from being unloaded from the truck, but otherwise fundamentally sound? If so, how could the store let so many otherwise functional appliances go for such a low price? Where is the catch I am missing?
They could be open box, floor models, or customer returns. Anything the store can’t get away with selling as new and is otherwise stuck with.
Those can be great deals if you know what to look for and can justify the price. Sometimes the only thing wrong is that the tape on the box has been cut, sometimes the customer broke it and brought it back, or it could be anything in between. Inspect the product thoroughly before you take it home, cosmetic damage or a bent box can be a sign of internal damage.
