Itouch wifi can other people see my history?
So i’ve been using my itouch wifi from my wireless network. I was just wondering if my parents could see every website i’ve been too somehow without actually looking at my itouch?
They can but probably not. It is possible for some routers to record every IP address you go to. Some programs like Cain and Able, can listen to the network promiscuously and see not only where you go but what you are doing, including pictures. Most do not and few parents can do that. Your iPod touch might also have a history. The safest way to deal with sites you don’t want your parents to know about is to not go to them or give them a reason to monitor you.

How do You Reformat a USB Flash Drive?
USB flash drives have become really handy in storing different files of various sizes including, backups, personal documents, music, pictures, portable applications and more. Flash drives turned out to be so convenient that people start pouring in files of any kind without sorting them. Because of these habits, flash drives end up getting real messy quickly and it becomes difficult to figure out how to clear up disk space to accommodate more files.
Deleting unnecessary files is a good solution, but can be tough to do when files aren’t properly organized. If you want to clear up disk space the fastest way possible, the best problem solver to this is by formatting your USB flash drive directly. The advantages of doing this is that your flash drive is wiped completely clean, removing all files regardless of their attributes (including hidden files).
Here are the basic steps in reformatting your USB flash drive:
Backup your data
Formatting your USB flash disk doesn’t leave any files behind so make sure you copy your most important files to a temporary location. If you plan to put these files back after formatting, organize the folder structure so you can better manage your disk next time you have disk space issues.
Reformatting your drive in Windows
Open up your “My Computer” (or “Computer” in Vista) from the Start Menu and look for the drive that has a “Removable Disk” icon. This is usually assigned to the last drive letter and may show multiple drives if multiple devices are plugged in. Right-click on the device you wish to format and select “Format”.
A dialog should open up showing several options; leave all the options alone unless you want to change the volume label. You can leave the “Quick Format” option unchecked to make sure everything is deleted without errors and doesn’t take too much time to begin with. Click the “Start” button on the dialog and wait for the device to fully format. You should end up with a clean flash disk that is ready to accept more files.
Reformatting your drive in Mac OS X
Mac OS X users can format a flash disk by loading the “Disk Utility” program located in the Utilities folder that is inside the Applications folder. Your flash drive should be in the list showing a white drive icon. Click that icon and select the “Erase” tab on the main window. Select the “MS-DOS (FAT)” option if you wish to make the drive compatible with Windows operating systems and give it a volume name. The format will begin when you click the “Erase” button below.
Formatting is a rather easy task so next time you feel the need of freeing up disk space or removing a nasty virus, you can format the device without nagging your techie friends and relatives in doing it for you. Just keep in mind that it is close to impossible to recover the data that you erased while formatting unless you have decent recovery tools so always double check your drive before you begin formatting.

South Carolina Gamecocks Tickets Gamecocks Welcome Horn For First Season
It’s his first season but he’s no newcomer to the game. Head coach Darrin Horn got in the game back in 1992 when he played for Western Kentucky from 1992 to 1995. Horn has also coached greats such as 2008 First Round Draftee Courney Lee (Orlando Magic). Horn also coached four other players who are now playing in the NBA. In the 2007-2008 campaign, Horn ranked 14th on the Basketball Times’ top 40 Up-and-Coming Coaching list.
Horn works with assistant coach Scott Cherry, assistant coach Cypheus Bunton, assistant coach Michael Boynton, coordinator of basketball operations Robert Knotts and director of player development Neill Berry. Everyone jumped into the act recently also to create an overwhelming success of Operation Sellout. The Colonial Life Arena can hold 18,000 for capacity crowds and the Operation Sellout initiative marked only the second time in the history of the arena that there’s been a sellout game for men’s basketball. Coaches, players, students and others all went to work to make the sold out event happen.
The Gamecocks will take on three more games this season at the Colonial Life Arena. The rest of the 2008-2009 games will be played away. Remaining games are scheduled against Alabama on February 14, Mississippi State on February 18, Arkansas on February 21, Kentucky on February 25, Vanderbilt on February 28, Tennessee on March 5 and Georgia on March 7 after which the SEC Tournament will commence on March 12 and conclude on March 15. I’ve had a 1GB Sansa Express for a few years now. Recently, I purchased a 8GB MicroSDHC card to expand the memory. After updating the firmware and moving the songs onto the card I took it out of the USB slot but this screen just came up that says ‘Refresh Database – Do Not Remove SD’. you have to merge the two drives so that it shows up as just one on the computer. try formatting the microSDHC to the fat32 format using the included adapter, then put the songs onto it. this seems to have worked for many on the interwebs.

Same thing I posted before: There are many ways to get games on an iPod (any kind of iPod: 1G-5G, including Nano’s and Mini’s.) You can put text based games in your iPod (google iPod Text Games), or you can go for the real deal and download iPod Linux, iPL for short. If you are going to do that, be prepared if you’re computer illiterate because it is pretty advanced, but if you can read and you have a little sense of what you are doing, you can do it successfully and have it on your iPod in no time. What iPL is is another firmware for the iPod (kind of like a different operating system like lets say the Apple firmware is Windows 98, and iPL is Windows XP) that lets you play games, write documents, install cool looking themes and a whole lot more. Go to iPodLinux.org to learn how to put it on your iPod and start having fun. Oh, and did I mention you can put DOOM on your iPod with iPod Linux? Mp3 players have become the new “must have” accessory for almost everyone. People of all ages use MP3 players. They’re easy to use, extremely portable and are capable of storing all your music so you’re never without your favourite beats anywhere you go! There are 2 different types of memory found in MP3 players: Flash Memory (smaller capacities) and hard drives (larger capacities).
The benefits of a flash MP3 player over a hard drive MP3 player are that MP3 players which use flash memory are generally lighter in weight and more portable. Flash memory based MP3 players contains no moving parts, which means the MP3 player is 100% skip free. The most popular examples of flash memory players currently available include the iPod Nano, iPod shuffle and Creative Zen Stone MP3 players.
Hard drive MP3 players are used in larger capacity units such as the iPod 30GB, 60GB and 80GB with video playback. MP3 players with rely on hard drive memory are able to offer a much higher memory capacity which basically means you can store more songs, photos and video files.
The largest amount of memory in a flash based MP3 player is currently 8GB (enough for about 2500 songs). This has increased significantly as memory chips have become cheaper in the market and also more stable in that they can handle higher stress levels. This means that they are able to have large amounts of data synchronised to them at any one time then before. The popularity of flash memory based MP3 players is growing significantly as larger and larger memory capacities are being made available to consumers.
Samsung are soon expected the break the 8GB memory size barrier although none of their planned new MP3 player releases are set to launch with a memory size greater than 8GB. The Samsung YP-P2 MP3 player will be available in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB from launch in late September 2007 as will the YP-T10 and the YP-S5 – a highly anticipated follow up to the YP-K5 MP3 player which features a slide out speaker. All of Samsung’s new releases are set to feature Bluetooth and video playback functions.
As the market has developed, manufacturers have introduced an array of new features in their MP3 players. Things like Bluetooth which allows you to connect wirelessly to a Bluetooth enabled headset device giving you a wireless MP3 listening experience. Video playback is now a common feature found in most higher end MP3 players. This means that not only can you listen to music on the go, you can watch your favourite movies or TV episodes. Many websites now allow video downloads as well as music downloads which makes it easy as pie to have everything on the move with you. Alternatively, consumers are able to rip music from their own CD collection and even movies from their own DVD’s although this can sometimes prove to be a little long-winded.

Will there be a successor to Cowon’s iAudio X5 mp3 player?
I am very interested in purchasing Cowon’s iAudio X5 60GB portable mp3 player – but I am saddened that the unit has a 10,000 file limit (even though my 15,000 songs are just under 60gb). So, I have decided to wait to see if Cowon releases a newer version of this player, either with larger capacity – or a firmware update that removes the file limit.
My question is – has anybody heard if there will be an update to iAudio product line? The X5 came out in June of this year – so hopefully their next player will be released soon.

Check into a program called Rockbox for the X5. It’s an open source project that is designed to offer another alternative to the stock firmware that comes on these Digital Audio Players.
If you use it though you should know that it will void the warranty if Cowon finds out.
