While many plasma television can, especially television compare 3D Panasonic won the CES 2010, depending on your preference. For myself, I have a bright room and TV shows in this great picture. Furthermore, the blacklist is not perfect in the room. I think this TV is actually better than the C9000 with the fact that the regulation of accuracy that eliminates black dark corners that many have complained about the C7000 and C9000.

I just bought a 46″ model 8000 LED 3D, and on the bottom of the screen are constant pop-ups advertising it. The Samsung support site says there is no way to get rid of them. Anyone planning to buy this model should think twice.
Wow! Incredible TV
I bought this TV along with the Samsung 3d Bluray player, the starter kit, and an Onkyo S3300 HTB 3D Compatible Home Theater System. I am pretty picky about picture quality and was skeptical that the TV would look as good as the 7000 did in a nearby store. I must admit I have been thoroughly impressed. The fact the TV uses very little energy compared to peer sets is great and that it is very thin is nice too. It has internet conectivity and lots of widgets that I have not used much but look fun.
The picture on this TV is simply the best I have ever seen! Even my wife who doesn’t usually see the difference in TVs-was blown away. We compared it to the plasmas and other LCDs and it was the clear winner. I purchased from Amazon with no issues. Great price and great value. Buy it!

I just got this TV as well – here it’s called C 8790. I am really impressed. I have to admit that I jumped from a 27” JVC to the 46” C 8790 – so from a 5 year old TV to this brand new gadget. Thus the differences are enormous. The most mentionable fact I.M.O. is that black is just black. From former TVs I know what it means if black is something like a misty dark gray… A few days before I watched a Blueray with my wife and within the film we thought the TVs somehow switched off -’cause the screen suddenly turned completely black – then we recognized that it just was a scene within the film 
On sunday I watched Germany football cup final (ah yes – you call it “soccer”). It was broadcasted in Full HD and it was amazing how natural and vivid the picture looked. I really felt as being in the stadium. Due to the fact that I live in the same city as where the match took place I was able to compare the sky (outside the window in the “real” world) to the sky how it looked like in the TV – yeah and didn’t notice any difference.
Considering the 3D feature. I don not care that much about it – I am an early adopter and I know that this in only the beginning and these are the first steps in bringing 3D to TV sets. Nevertheless it’s nice to see what’s possible and to get idea of what will be possible in future. There’s still a lack of real 3D Bluerays, so we’ll have to see. I watched a Star Trek movie with 2D/3D conversion and – yes – it looked three-dimensional and there was some kind of graphical deepness added to the picture. Though this is not comparable to 3D in cinema it’s exciting to have something like that at home. It depends on the input material. Tried this with another movie – did not work. Looking forward to upcoming 3D bluerays.
Mediaplayer! I got this TV connected to a network router. It immediately discovered my Upnp mediaserver (it’s a TwonkyVision which runs on a QNAP NAS). Browsing pctures, music and video was no problem. I needed to do some configuration work on the twonky server to get most of my videos sucessfully displayed and some still don’t show up. But at least my Simpons archive is accessible now directly via TV
The only thing I am still not able to get up and running is the timeshift feature. I’m using an external HDD on USB1 of the TV. The system checked and formated it. I am able to pause the TV (starting timeshift) but when I try to contunue watching after 30-40 seconds the picture freezes and I have to switch the channel to get it all working again. If I try to replay the timeshift from its beginning i got a message similar to “Unsupported mode, please switch the resolution”. I dropped a message to the Samsung support, maybe they know what’s this about. Meanwhile I’ll try this with another external HDD – maybe that will fix it.
But overall I have to say it’s a great TV which absolutely meets my requirements. Happy with that!
*Update*
Timeshift now works for me. My external USB HDD just was too slow to for that feature. Exchanged with another one – works fine

It’s odd that you didn’t get the special active shutter glasses that are required with that TV. Did you buy it used? The Samsung 3D glasses should go with it. Nothing else will work.
I’d want to go back to wherever the set was purchased and inquire about the mandatory glasses. A Samsung 3D TV is not a 3D TV without the matching Samsung active shutter glasses.
And no, the glasses in your reference won’t work.

Any ideas about playing IPOD on Honda Pilot 2007?
I need help playing music from my iPod to my car.
So far in my research I have found that there are 3 car audio solutions: FM transmitter, cassette adapter, and buying a completely new stereo.
I drive a 2007 Honda Pilot and it does not have a cassette player. I just bought a DLO Transpod and i couldn’t find a good quality FM channel(I live in Houston, so it’s kinda hard.) I just bought this car a few days ago, and not looking to buy a completely new stereo. Are there any other car audio solutions to sync your iPod with your car stereo?
The switching FM mod Sparky mentioned is a good choice and is the cheapest ~$30. Since it interrupts the FM feed (disables FM stations) and feeds the signal directly into the radio via the antenna plug.
The interface Conejote is talking about is a direct auxillary input. This will be a cleaner input, but it is alot more expensive. The model shown is $150.
Other drawbacks on the aux input are:
First of all, it has not been tested on the ’07 models. However, there are generally very few changes between model years unless the vehicle has been redesigned.

The main difference lies in the high speed connection that the 3G iPhone offers. 2G iPhones only offer low speed Internet connections. But with high speed connections opened up, the 3G iPhone is able to support a plethora of new applications. For example, downloading maps for navigation is now possible on the 3G iPhone. If you attempt to run the same application on the 2G iPhone, it would take ages!
Because of the presence of more applications, this has an adverse impact on the battery life of the iPhone 3G. Obviously, the more powerful the applications, the more power it consumes. Hence, the shorter battery life. Still, that does not deter thousands and thousands of Apple fans from getting their hands on a 3G iPhone.
Mobile gadgets have never been about power alone. They are lifestyle gadgets, and they will be part of the social experience of their owners. Perhaps you too would like to show off your new 3G iPhone to your peers.

Ideas for an iPhone/iPod/iPad app?
I’m 14, and im making my first iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad app. But the ideas i had, apparently already exist. So i wanna ask you guys if you have some good ideas… I would maybe like to make an app for the “Lifestyle” category. I think games are gonna be too hard to make, so i wanna leave those ideas to the pros…
To be honest, I don’t really think it matters if the ideas you had already exist. As an iPod Touch owner, I have multiple apps that basically have the same function. One app might have a feature that another doesn’t while it lacks a feature the other has. If you made an app similar to one currently existing, you could improve it and give people more choice. Just go with what you want to do the most!

iPOD Battery not holding charge – New Battery?
My iPod was going dead within 3 hours of a full charge. I got a battery replacement kit and changed the battery. I charged it overnight and then used it. It only lasted about 2 hours and died.
Could there be some other problem that is drawing so much power from the battery? Even when I have it off and on lock, when I turn it back on the battery is drained 1/4 – 1/2 way.
This was a replacement for my original iPod and the insurance ran out in February.

I am pretty sure you could pick one up at Radio Shack. The last time I went, the day after Thanksgiving, there was a wall full of USBs. It will be easy to find one if your player supports the standard USB cables. However, if your player only supports a USB cable specially designed for that player only, you may need to go to the sony website and see if you can find on there.

How to fix a broken wireless zune remote?
I bought the Zune Av pack (v1) (came today in the mail) and the dock works fine. It came with the wireless remote. I literally got one click out of it (meaning it worked fine for about a minute) then it totally stopped working. I figured maybe the battery went bad (Its brand NEW but it could happen) so I went down to radioshack bought a new battery but not luck.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix it? Maybe I need to take it apart to create a better connection somewhere?
I’m totally baffled as to why it doesn’t work. It’s cheaper if I try and fix it than return it due to shipping cost etc.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Since it is new consider returning it. I know that returning things can be a pain especially through the mail but you paid for this and it should work. If nothing else call the manufacturer’s customer support line and see if they will replace it.

Is the Zune80GB MP3/Media player, or the Ipod Nano 8GB better?
OK im wondering is there something special about the ipod nano because these are the prices of both. Zune 80GB MP3/Media Player (Factory refurbished) bundled with Bonus Home AV kit only 129.86. And the ipod Nano 8GB 139.99. The Zune has 72 MORE GB than the ipod, the zune does everything the ipod can do except camera and recordings. But 72GB and cheaper. I was wondering is there a reason the zune 80GB is cheaper than the ipod nano8GB . Oh yeah and the zune comes with a home AV pack.
Well I think the reason you’re getting so much out of the Zune for so little money compared to the ipod Nano is cause Microsoft is trying to sell. A deal like that is a great incentive to buy unlike with Apple because their products are flying off the shelves no matter how expensive they are. If you’re looking to record video then obviously the Nano is the one for you, but if you’re looking to fit all the music and video you’ve ever owned on one device, you’re in luck with the Zune. Cnet reviewed the Zune and they say that it’s a great ipod alternative, but it only works with PC and the Zune store doesn’t offer tv and movie downloads. In the end it really comes down to what matter most to you.
