what should i get zune hd or ipod touch?
i like the zune hds capacity and its quality but i like the ipod touch’s apps.
I have both players…i have a 16GB zune HD, and an 8GB touch 1st gen.

apps, the touch wins hands down with over 200K…zune only has like 100 if you consider the 3rd party apps….they are nicer than the touch apps, and are free, zune just lacks the quantity.
screen: debatable, the touch has a slightly larger screen at 3.5 inches, but the HD has a slightly sharper picture (pixels per inch) and it is OLED which is THE BEST screen i have seen on a portable device….it is simply amazing….i give the edge to the HD, it literall makes the touch screen look like crap in comparrison.
sound quality: zune wins hands down….supposidly the latest gen touch has improved the SQ a bit, but still not as good as zunes.
Radio: zune wins hands down since the touch doesn’t have radio unless you have an adapter..zune has FM and HD radio.
internet….touch wins…it has tabbed browsing and stuff just seems to work better on the touch’s browser…plus the larger screen is a nice addition when surfing the web. the zunes browser is pretty good tho, it is faster than the touch’s (latest version of touch may be faster than 1st gen, cant comment for sure tho) but the zune’s zoom and accelerometer seem to work faster.
video, the zune again wins here..that OLED screen is amazing, plus the HD supports more formats, and can even output 720P HD files to an HDTV with an HDMI dock.
wireless marketplace…this goes to the touch. you can DL music, videos, podcasts and apps…the HD can only do music and apps.
appearance: this is also debatable…i like the fact that the zune is smaller and lighter….it is also scratch resistant so you dont have to look at scratches all the time like i do with my touch. the touch looks nice but it is in serious need of an update to the look…been the same for like 5 years.
computer software…IMO, the zune software is really nice, and makes discovering new artists easy…plus it looks amazing. some will argue that itunes is better…it has more music and videos, but i prefer the zune software.

First check to make sure the hold latch isn’t on. It should be located on the side. If this is on all the buttons become inactive. Other than that pop out the battery to shut it off and the put it back in and see if it restarts!
