Before i start let me just tell you “what’s New” with the iPod touch Third generation” :
-Faster Cpu/Double the ram/Better graphic (faster Boot time/faster loading is all what i did notice)
-Double the storage for the same old price
-Voice control (I’ll explain it in a second)
-Latest firmware for free
-New Earbuds with built in remote+Microphone (So you can use voice control)
And that is everything~ depends on your needs upgrading from 2G to 3G might be not worth it.
*Important Note* : only the New iPod touch 32GB/64GB are third generation ~ (8GB is repacked 2G) Details below.
About the new Voice control function, if you love to take your iPod with you to the Gym the new feature “Voice control” is pretty cool, it does allow you to control your music via your voice, no need to get the iPod out of your pocket you can simply say “Next” to move to next song, say “shuffle” for shuffle , say “Pause” and music playback will stop etc, that is why i recommend the iPod touch over iPod classic for gym users, my friend bought an iPod classic and now he complains that the iPod classic is too heavy for him when he goes to the gym and he will have to buy another iPod “properly Nano” for his Gym, for me i use my iPod touch for the gym, it’s so light that sometimes i forgot that it’s even in my pocket.
After playing with my iPod touch 3g for a while i honestly did not notice any difference from the outside or the inside compared to my old iPod touch Second generation (It’s supposed to be faster but i did not notice anything during music and video playback or the menus, however browsing with safari and loading facebook was faster, same thing with boot time), you properly can only notice it being faster with heavy applications since video/music playback is already fast enough with 2G.
I got the 64GB iPod 3G for [...]$, if you think of upgrading your 2G iPod touch honestly do yourself a favor and save yourself the money unless you really need that much of a storage (I do that is why i bought one), also remember that the 3G battery lasts less than 2G,(3G battery = 30 Hours of music playback versus 2G 36 hours of music playback according to apple official specs)
*VERY IMPORTANT* for the people who wants the new 8GB version, the new third generation 8GB iPod touch is NOT 3G it’s a second generation iPod touch but apple did repack it/renamed it to 3rd generation, which seems to be misleading by APPLE and it’s not cool at all, it is IPod Touch 2G+Updated firmware and that is it.
The iPod touch 3rd generation 32GB/64GB versions comes with a free mic+remote with the earbuds while the 8GB do not (it comes with normal earbuds), the 32GB/64GB have the New CPU+Graphic (According to apple the new cpu is twice as fast just like the iPhone 3GS) while the new 8GB use the same old CPU/Chip from the old iPod touch second generation.
Here is APPLE description on the iPod touches page about the 32/64GB versions : “”"Enjoy all the great features of the 8GB model along with better performance, richer graphics and voice control”"”
The iPod touch 3rd generation is the same awesome iPod touch second generation was.
You can play your music/watch your videos/play games, even read your kindle books/etc “you can read amazon big description of what it’s capable of if you do not know yet, it’s better than what would i say because it has pictures and everything.
The iPod touch got the best browser i have ever seen in a portable device, i do not even need to carry my netbook with me anymore thanks to my iPod touch, if you hated browsing with lame browsers that crash a lot or slow (many mobile phones) trust me on this one, the iPod touch browser is not a toy or a gimmick it is a browser you can depends on, it’s super fast and smooth and after using it for like a full year it has only crashed on me once!
Short list of pros and cons about the iPod touch
Pros:
-Slick,small and light device
-Great touch screen
-The BEST web browser on a portable device
-Amazing video/music playback
-App Store (Too many cool applications for Free)
-Display screen is clear and bright
-No bugs and annoying stuff a very reliable hardware
-64GB Flash based mp3 player
Cons:
-Not much of an upgrade over 2G (people were disappointed because they did not get upgrades like camera/OLED/etc)
-Weaker battery, only lasts 30 hours for music playback versus 2G iPod touch 36 Hours music playback
-Expensive for the 64GB version
-Still no FM radio without the use of online applications
-Bluetooth is still half locked
Update : one more reason to avoid the 8GB ipod touch, Apple announced today “April 09 2010″ that iPhone 4.0 OS will be released this summer and it will bring many new features to the iphone and ipod touch, however some features like Multitasking will only be available for iphone 3GS and higher or Ipod touch third generation and higher (As i said before the 8GB is second Generation only, a third generation 8gb ipod touch do not exist! so you wont be getting multitasking if you buy the 8GB ipod touch),

I bought these after a lot of debate. I wanted to be able to play late at night and not disturb anyone else in the house. I read a lot of the reviews and the most constant problem that I read was that you got a loud cracking and popping sound now and then. I decided to try my luck. Well wouldn’t you know it, sure enough I was getting that loud popping sound also. Man was I pissed. I went to turtle beach website, not really any help. So I was packing it back up to send back and came across the instructions (no one ever reads those anyway). In them it says that if you get this cracking and popping sound to remove the RF receiver away from anything electrical. I had it sitting on top of my 360 right next to my 50 inch plasma. Well the cord on the receiver is very long. I moved it about 2 feet away from those and guess what… no more popping sound, not once. These are totally worth every penny. The sounds you can hear are amazing! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I have been a gamer for awhile now and have used the stock headset that comes with the xbox 360. I had started to hear about these headsets from turtle beach, so I went online and did some research. I liked what I saw so I went shopping and found a good price at amazon.com. Once I got them I took them out of the box and started to use them with Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 and . . . . HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!! These things are completely awesome!!!! They totally immerse you in the gaming experience!! They give you a surround sound stereo experience for a fraction of the price! They are amplified with a bass boost option so you can almost feel the explosions and gunfire that happen. Also, with the RF technology, they are very accurate with sound production, so you can pick up the footsteps of an enemy coming up behind you almost 300% better than with the stock headset that comes with the xbox 360. I am very pleased with this product from turtle beach, and would recommend it to any one looking to enhance their gaming experience!!:)

Just outstanding! I love, just love the Ear Force X31 Digital RF Wireless Game Audio + Xbox Live Chat, by Turtle Beach! Especially with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or Battelfield Bad Company 2 or with watchin’ movies with Zune or Netflix on my Xbox 360! It also is great with Xbox Live Chat, because you can hear yourself. That is good if you talk or breath too LOUD (some friends should take note). I wish this was out 2 years ago. It would have probably saved my marriage. Definitely get this if you are married with a kid and you stay up late and you live in a medium to small (1300sq ft or less) home or apt.. Even if I lived in a large home you can get up and walk around and not miss a moment of chatin’ with friends on Xbox Live. I could go around corners and still get reception. One thing though, it does use 2 AAA batteries in the headphones so buy a recharger, which are more common, better, and cheapier today. Especially on Amazon.com. Gamer’s Headset = GREAT!
First i want to point out that before using the X31 i spent the last month with the TRITTON AX 720 Dolby Digital Surround Sound Precision Gaming Headset for XBOX Live, PS3 Network, PC and MAC. and the ax 720 are mind blowing Virtual Surround, i love them. The only con i have with the AX720 is the comfrot design is not very good, so i went ahead and started looking for a less expensive headset that i could use for many hours without dealing with the discomfort of heavy headsets. That is when i came across the Ear Force X11 Amplified Stereo Headset with Chat and the Ear Force X31 Digital RF Wireless Game Audio + Xbox Live Chat, the only diference is that one is wireless and so higher priced. I got to say i was impressed with the audio quailty from the x31, they sound really good. Obviously the ax 720 are miles ahead in sound, but the x31 are so comfortable. This are lightweight, flexible, the mesh around the ears is soft, very good for many hours of gaming and comfort.
The freedom of wireless is awesome, i hooked it to my tv audio output and use it for PS2, PS3(without chat) and 360 and it performs great
Highly Recommended, Turtle Beach definitely knows what they are doing and at $80 this headsets are a most for serious gaming.

How To Get Your iPod Connected To Your Home Entertainment System
The iPod is one of the newest ways to listen to your music. If you have a little computer savvy, you can purchase an iPod and start downloading all of your favorite songs directly to your iPod. If you want to take your music with you wherever you go, that is what the iPod is all about. That is exactly what it is designed for. Simply plug in your ear buds, clip on the iPod and go. You have discovered the unique portability of the iPod.
However, iPods are not just for on the go. There are ways you can connect you iPod to your favorite home stereo equipment so your and your friends can enjoy all of your favorite tunes, too. Want to connect your iPod to your home stereo and have not a clue how to get started? Here is a look at the basics of how to solve this puzzling problem. The solution could be as easy as a few cables and a Dock connector.
Would not it be convenient to plug in your iPod to your home stereo when you are home with the stomach virus or when snow is piled high outside your door? Plug it in while you are secluded indoors and watch and listen on the big screen to your favorite music and videos.
Or maybe you are giving a big party and want everyone to enjoy all your favorite music downloads. With a little instruction and some equipment, you will soon be listening to your iPod music at home or on the go.
You can use your headphone jack to connect your iPod to your home or car stereo using third-party stereo adapters. In order to connect your iPod to a home stereo, you will need a 3.5 mm RCA adapter cable to connect the iPod and the sound input of the amplifier.
Most of the equipment you will need for this process can be found at electronic stores. To keep from blowing out the speakers on your amplifier, turn the volume down to less than half on your iPod. Use your stereos control panel to control the volume to the desired level. Your iPod may need to be set higher than half, depending on your particular stereo, so you can get a reasonable volume through the outside speakers.
After you have done this, you are ready to connect your iPod to your car stereo. There are a few things you will need.
First, you will need a 3.5 mm extension cable with stereo connectors on each end plugged into the aux input of your car stereo. You can also use a cassette adapter if your car stereo does not have a sound input jack. Both of these items can be found at car accessory retailers. Next, if your iPod has a dock connector, you may be able to connect to some cars with a special adapter.
The Universal Dock is just that, universal. With the Universal Dock, you can do a variety of things.
First, connect the dock to your computer with the cable that came with your iPod. Now place your iPod in the dock to sync and charge the battery. You will not have to reach behind the computer to plug it in anymore. Connect the dock to an electrical outlet using an iPod Power Adapter, and then place your iPod in the dock to charge the battery.
Connect the Dock to a stereo or speakers using an iPod AV Cable or a stereo audio cable to play music from iPod. Control playback from a distance using the Apple Remote. Display photos on a TV or other video device using an iPod AV Cable or S-video cable if you have an iPod with a color display. Display videos on a TV or other video device using an iPod AV Cable or S-video cable if you have an iPod with video capability.
The Universal Dock
The Universal Dock is the ultimate iPod docking solution. Any model of iPod with a dock connector can fit perfectly into a single Universal Dock through the use of interchangeable inserts called Dock Adapters. You simply insert the Dock Adapter that fits your particular iPod model, and then plug in your iPod. When you want to connect a different-size iPod, simply pop out the Dock Adapter and insert a new one.
The iPod Universal Dock package includes adapters for five iPods. New iPods will include adapters for that model, and other adapters are available separately.

Microsoft has done an outstanding job when it comes to audio quality in the Zune. I just purchased the zkicker 500 and have had it for a week. It is an amazing product. The sound is extremely clear and crisp, better than anything else I own. Don’t worry about turning this one up. At volume level 16/40 It shakes the pictures on my wall. Even at higher volumes there is no distortion. Bass is clean, it puts outs out a lot of bass. Not as much as your 15″ sub in your car, but enough. I have never seen a boombox so small that puts out this much sound. It has +-9 on the base and treble settings to make it do what you want with your music. The remote fully controls the zune very accurately. It connects to your entertainment system through componant video. It displays movies great and adds to your sound system. When I watch movies I hook it up to get a larger range of sound. I recomend this product. I would even recomend this product even if you don’t have a zune, it has auxillary input for any sound device. It is worth every penny!

The im414 is a fabulous attribute to my Zune. The sound is amazing for such a small and inexpensive item. It is very easy to use. After looking all over for a Docking Station for the new Zunes I just bought my two girls for Christmas, I finally found this through Amazon (everything is for I-Pods … oyyyy). I did find another type of docking station at Best Buy, which was $99, but read bad reviews on the Internet. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound and volume for such a little box. As other people have mentioned, it is not a Bose stereo that you will use for a large party, but definately will serve your purpose for a kitchen or bedroom. My girls absolutely loved them. I actually paid $59.99 right before Christmas, but now see they are $47.99, which I am bummed since I can’t return since they are open, being used and would spend the difference of savings on shipping back. However, I think they are worth the price – $59.99 or $47.99.

Apple’S Ipad And Its Operating Function
Many fans of the Apple iPhone have waited from a number of years for the Apple Tablet. Each announcement there was hope for the tablet and at last it has actually arrived and the iPad is here. Today, the uber-fans for Apple were put out of their misery as the iPad was announced to enormous fanfare. The iPad is the latest thinking in Multi-Touch technology, which gives users the attractive touch screen experience now on a much larger display. The iPad is far thinner and lighter than a laptop or netbook, but has the benefit of a larger screen than the iPhone.
At its foundation, the iPad features totally re-written applications to showcase the usability of this fantastic new product. In addition to this, it will be able to run pretty much all of the applications available at the app store. A SDK is being released to developers, which means that a large amount of applications are perhaps going to explode on to the market over the next few months. There are some accessories that will be available for this new product from launch.
Firstly, as with many Apple products iPad is beautifully designed, and consequently you want to ensure that you protect it fully. The case becoming available will do that you needs and also this is an iPad which has a touch keyboard, but for people who want the traditional keyboard experience a docking station with keyboard will be made available. Apple is once again on a winner with this new product, and it will be a real shift to this kind of device in the market. It’s another great jump forward in the technology world, courtesy of Apple computers.
One thing that many are paying attention on its operating system that it runs. Is it running a nude down OSX or something else? Those who were hoping to have a small tablet computer that was similar to your OSX operating system might be a bit let down and the iPad is using a version of the iPhone’s operating system. Essentially it’s a huge iPhone or more correctly iPad Touch since there is no phone feature.
The huge problem is that there is no multithreading technology. This means that your $600+ tablet computer can only run one application at a time just like your iPhone. For some who like multitasking while using a computer this is a big let down. Even the cheapest sub $300 netbooks running Linux can handle multiple applications at one time and that hardware is quite a bit less powerful than what the iPad has.
One can expect though since this is the first version. The wish from customers for multitasking through multiple applications will certainly push Apple to come with a solution. If not, it’s probable that someone will come up with a hack for the device. iPad won’t have as much problems as it is with the iPhone and there is no chance of losing the phone capability.
