My USB’s aren’t working/ drivers, i don’t know.?
ok, so in the morning, i got my old mp3, stuck it in, synced some songs using media player, and then just pulled it out. It then had a bubble saying that the device had overdone its energy consumption and the (port, driver, i forget.) fi forget what else it said.
I turned off, ignoring the bubble.
That night, i turn on the computer, put in my usb and it makes the recognition noise, but doesn’t open it, i go to my computer… nothing.
My usb mouse works fine (plugged in at the back) and so i try to plug in the usb at the back..nothing again. I plug in my mp3, it works.
I’m really stuffed, and i desperately need help here.i’ve got a “Dell pentium 4 with intel.”
Its only my usb’s that aren’t working, but i want to know what is happening.!

Note: i tested with 2 usb’s none worked.
u said that I have pulled out that old mp3 player, while hearing some songs
when your hearing the songs via USB (Universal Serial Bus)
it will be in “enable” state as of a sudden you have pulled out so that it might have moved to “disabled” state
So, now its the time to enable it.. for this ” right click on the
My Computer–> Properties–>Hardware–>Device Manager where a window Device Manager opens
Now click on the Universal Serial Bus Controllers and ” right click on each and every port named “USB Root Hub” and choose “properties” Under the category of “General” u can have
a drop list named “Device usage” choose the “enable” option
and click “ok” and then once restart the system
Now check the port by replacing your mp3 player with any pendrive if it responds ok well and good if not the mp3 player may have any virus or else updating of drivers my be required.
Also if you think that there may be fault in hardware then
“right click on the USB Root Hub and choose Scan for hardware changes”. which could give the status of hardware
