One of the newest up and coming electronic tools on the consumer electronics market today is the tablet computer. A tablet computer is a wireless computer that looks very much an old fashioned paper tablet (remember those? The archaic things you used to have to write on with a pen or pencil? ), it has a flat touchscreen input, and on screen keyboard (or a wireless keyboard) and is operated with a stylus pen or touch.

They are quicker and just as powerful, and fit very handily into your satchel, purse or even a expandable pocket if one is available. They can also be great to use as an e-reader like the Nook or Kindle, but they have a much greater larger array of usability than those very niche-specific items have.
Unless you have been living under a haystack in Amish country, you have probably heard about the touchscreen iPad, one of the premier tablet pcs to hit the consumer electronics. The problem with the iPad, though, is that while it is a versatile and app packed tablet pc, it is also priced with the signature Apple price – high. The newer tablet computers like the Stream TV eLocity A7 have the same features, but impact your savings account a lot less than the Apple versions.
Designed with a very competitive edge, the soon-to-be-released Stream TV eLocity A7 is prepared for release in September of 2010 – and this new tablet computer is designed to do the same things that the iPad can do, but again, for a much lower cost. In fact, depending on the iPad model you are looking at, the eLocity A7 can be up to $400 less than the iPad, at under $399.00. This newly unveiled 7 inch tablet computer will give the end user a high quality graphic display and high definition video playback, with the Android 2.2 and an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset, 800 x 480 pixel capacitive multi-touch display, an accelerometer, and USB and HDMI ports. The Stream TV eLocity A7 is also designed to interface with your Television to play 1080p video and share your pictures, videos and other media as you choose.
So what all is the buyer going to get for less money than an iPad? Well, the eLocity A7 will also come with a wireless keyboard for those who prefer a real keyboard to a virtual keyboard (I am one of those people!) and the requisite HDMI cables to share with your external video display equipment (like your TV or large monitor). This intelligent and enjoyable touchscreen pc is designed to be easily portable and the wi-fi capability will allow you to access the worldwide webwherever you choose to be. (Fees of course will vary with whatever internet service provider you have, or you can simply piggyback off various wi-fi hotspots in your area as well).
These tablet computers are wonderful for college students (especially with a wireless keyboard if you need to take notes in class or draw diagrams, or using the stylus to hand-write your notes right into the tablet. You can also get portable keyboards that are flexible and you can fold them up and put them into your handbag if you desire). The huge choice of apps available for the Stream TV eLocity A7 make it very customizable and efficient for whatever task you choose to use it for. Experts feel this upcoming tablet pc is going to be one of the most cost-efficient and remarkable tablet computers to be released in 2010, and anyone considering getting a tablet computer should seriously consider the Stream TV eLocity A7.
