How to jailbreak iphone 3gs with ios 4.0.1?
I bought an iphone off of a guy. It is an iphone 3gs that he already updated to ios 4.0.1. If I can’t get it to work, he’ll give me my money back, so it isn’t a huge deal, but I would really like to jailbreak this and then do a carrier unlock. This phone has never been jailbroken before. The bootrom is 359.3. Is there any way that I will be able to get this done? I am also willing to roll back the firmware if it is necessary. Anyone have any good guides or can you tell me what I need to do?
you can’t. No jailbreak out for iOS4 on 3Gs. And iOS4 upped your bootrom so you can’t downgrade either. Sucks for you.
