Re: iPhone will not turn on past Apple logo
It may be a usb issue, so completely off the Mac, unplug everything including the power cord, will pass five minutes and see if it works. Have you tried completely turning off the iPhone.
Then press the home button, without releasing the iPhone connect to the base / cable, the home button pressed until iTunes detects it in recovery mode and then restored.
It is desirable that targets an original Apple firmware, I recommend that you pass redsnow. Have you tried from another computer, preferably a windows.
Have you tried connecting from a USB 1.1 port? A algunos le ha funcionado. To some it has worked.
Re: iPhone will not turn on past Apple logo
The best possible solution to get this problem solved is to get the iPhone connected to your desktop and then use the itunes application to get back all the data if this even does not solve the problem then try to get the iphone reset by holding the sleep/wake button present at the top right and the home button at the below center simultaneously.
Re: iPhone will not turn on past Apple logo
Completely Uninstall iTunes 7.7 if you have it and restart your computer , install iTunes 7.5 , iPhone should be in two states, Either stuck on the “Slide to make emergency calls” screen, or you Tried to restore Before and it’s stuck on the new look “connect to iTunes” screen. Either way you’re ok. Other wise there is a hardware failure so you will have to get your iphone repaired.
Re: iPhone will not turn on past Apple logo
I have a totally different approach for the same. you will have to start the phone in the DFU mode. To do this,
Hold the power & the home button down for about nine seconds. When you hit about 6-7s the screen should turn off, leave it for 2 more seconds and release the power button, STILL holding the home button.
If all went well, you should NOT see an apple logo, the screen should be dead. Keep holding home Until Windows / Mac INFORMS you That it’s found new hardware iTunes tells you That your iPhone is in recovery mode. Remember, screen should be blank. If you see an apple logo, repeat the process for less time Until you get it right. Took me a little time. Took me a little time.
Shift / Option click the restore button in iTunes and select the iPhone1, 1_1.1.4 firmware you downloaded.
Fingers crossed it should restore back to 1.1.4. Fingers crossed it should restore back to 1.1.4.
Re: iPhone will not turn on past Apple logo
The only option is to raise up to 3.1.2, but for this you have to have saved the certificate of ECID saurik 3.1.2 on server. and this will let you restore to 3.1.2.
You also have to make a change in the PC/ mac for itunes to restore instead of connecting to the server to connect to the apple where you’re supposed to saved certificate.
Re: iPhone will not turn on past Apple logo
However, there is only one thing that does not work: HOME BUTTON. As you will understand is a bundled, pq every time I open an application I have to turn off and on again. I read somewhere that there is an application that acts as the button, however I can not install it. Needless to say, I’ve been movistar and apple, and the two have sent me to house because a year has passed and I have no warranty.
