SOS Localization 2.1: when an App can save your Life!
SOS Localization is everything you need … and not only in emergencies.
In fact, besides being the first application of its kind to appear on the AppStore, always first made its entry on Facebook, allowing you to make known its position in real time to all the friends that are connected to the famous social network.
By its constant updates, today SOS Localization allows you to have always followed a substantial list of emergency numbers to deal with any eventuality (at this moment only for Italian language).
SOS Localization is an application that lets you send, with your iPhone, the coordinates (and address too) of where you are and start, quickly, an emergency call.
SOS Localization becomes a very useful tool in case of emergency and request assistance.
Its use, however, is also suitable in situations where you just want to make known its position, or report to a shop, restaurant or any other point of interest.
What’s New in Version 2.1 (at moment only for Italian language)
- The sharing of positions on facebook facilitated by direct access via the tab on the map. Now it is indeed possible to share their location while viewing the map: this allows to determine the range of accuracy before sharing;
- The prompt to disconnect from facebook;
- A list of key emergency numbers with the possibility of one-touch calling, the list is divided into five separate sections for a total of 60 emergency numbers to contact in case of need;
- More efficient standardization of phone numbers;
- retina display support.

FACEBOOK
You can post a message on facebook to ask for help or simply to share your location.
ENTER COORDINATES
The coordinates of your location will be sent by e-mail to a user preset email address.
SOS Localization allows to diversify the content and subject of e-mail sent, according to their needs, in two ways:
- Sending your position
- Sending your position with requests for help.
It must therefore have configured, on your iPhone, an email account and an internet connection.
EMERGENCY CALL
With SOS Localization can initiate a call to a phone number preset by the user.
It was implemented this feature to enable faster, in case of emergency, initiating a call immediately after sending the coordinates without the need to close the application and check the phone number in the phonebook.
MAP
SOS Localization allows to see your position in a map and to choose among types of display below:
- Standard
- Satellite
- Hybrid.
It ‘can also enable / disable both the “scroll” that the “zoom” the map.
