Flash Player 10.1 had just arrived on Android smartphone in a completely rewritten version. A public beta will be available in June for the devices under Froyo (Android 2.2) is considered to be too powerful by Adobe.
Faced with criticism from Apple,
Adobe has a copy adapted to the constraints for smartphones. The program includes video playback with hardware decoding, new smart zoom and a management report to the screen, but for only Android version 2.2, which has just been unveiled.
Adobe is also responsible for testing equipment and to define those who will have access to Flash in the Android Market. Android 2.2 installed on a smartphone first generation did not automatically open the doors to Flash.
The first big news
is the arrival of the hardware acceleration for Flash, especially playing H.264 files for better performance and especially lower consumption, leading to a playback time of three hours depending on the Nexus One Adobe.
Adobe promises that the software is optimized for each hardware architecture, in collaboration with industry members Open Screen Projection.
Another performance optimization, the reader is here concerned not only to generate rendering what is visible on the screen. Older versions of them, treated the whole scene by limiting the display to a defined framework.
A single Flash file for office and mobile

This version should arrive in public beta in June with no hardware acceleration even if Adobe says it is operational.

The reason? The ancients were not powered smartphones in need for Flash, including the first Android devices.
Other systems will soon host the drive, including Windows 7 Phone, Palm / HP webOS, BlackBerry and Symbian on dates unknown.
Adobe will also work with manufacturers for integration into their future tablets, such as HP.

Supported devices for the Android Public Beta include the Google Nexus One and others as Froyo becomes available to the device. Flash Player 10.1 is the first runtime release of the Open Screen Project that enables uncompromised Web browsing of expressive applications, content and video across devices.
