How do you get the best deal for a home theater package?
I’m planning on buying a new tv soon, with wall mount, blu-ray player, and all the necessary cables and accessories. I’ve heard of people haggling to get those extra things thrown in for free when you buy a tv at retail stores, but can you get a better deal online?
I’ll probably be getting the samsung UN46C9000 or UN46C8000, with a wireless adapter and the samsung webcam too. Is there anything else I would need? I know I need the glasses for the 3D as well.
The more you know what your getting this is the best hope. Even more than the brand and serial number the best way to get the best price is have an understanding of the technology. After a while it is like splitting hairs, when you understand which hairs to split, well then your getting somewhere. It will appear you are getting the best price for a box unit, but the more you realize separates are better bang for the buck, then you are realizing the potential of savings and quality. The home theatre market is geared for the non-thinking person who is brand oriented and doesn’t know much of anything. You want to be in the know. You want to guide the decision and drive the process. If I were to go in any store on the globe. The salesman that tries to sale a brand to me and turn up the volume and impress me with a bright tv picture for $1999, might as well have a straw fedora, a tie with a big knot at the top going half way down his pot belly. He might as well have a used car salesman sign flashing on his chest. He never had me and I don’t trust his smiling happy face. I know better. You my good friend need to know better. When you do, you will make the best all around decision, take your time and read, lean towards balanced opinions that make sense and keep an open mind. Peoples prejudice and bias will scream rather loudly and disproportionate to the question raised about a particular brand. See this for what it is and learn from them. Factor in what they have to say, but know that what they say is far from the gospel, because their advice is blind by one point of view that does not hold a different point of view as valid. In fact, they will go as far as to call you stupid. I believe this to be the process of how to get the best deal for a home theatre package. Trust.
