If my iphone 3g screen is white when it comes on, can I replace the LCD(touchscreen) and it should be ok?
I just bought a broken iphone 3g off of ebay, and I havent gotten it yet (just asking for future reference 
) and I think I can fix it by replacing the LCD. If anyone else has done this or have any advice, please let me know.
My iphone 3G comes on to a half white screen. The other half is back with small vertical lines. What does that mean? do i need to change out the LCD?

If it’s white, just restore it.
