How to Remove DRM from Zune, Convert Zune to iPod
The Zune Marketplace is an online music, video and podcast store that integrates with Zune software and Xbox 360. the songs(offered in DRM-restricted WMA format) downloaded from the Zune Marketplace are protected by DRM license similar to iTunes, meaning that songs purchased from Zune Marktplae could not be playable in iPod or on other Apple Device.
Now Purchasing items from Zune Marketplace requires Zune Pass, which is a subscription music service that allows the user to temporarily download an unlimited amount of songs for the length of the Zune Pass subscription, below the limilation of Zune Pass downloads:
1. Cannot be burnt to audio CD unless purchased
2. Become unplayable if the subscription lapses.
3. Only allows for 3 Zunes to share the downloaded DRM content as well as the content to be downloaded on up to 3 computers.
4. If you got a new iPod Touch, the music downloaded from Zune pass have DRM Protection which can’t be played on iTunes iPod directly

Step 4. Convert Zune Files to iPod
Now just click “Start” to start removing DRM from Zune Marketplace and converting your Zune protected WMV WMA to iPod. You can check the conversion progress by the progress bar.
Step 5. Sync the unprotected Zune Marketplace songs or Zune Pass subscription music to iTunes for iPod
1. Open iTunes and click “File” to add your music to iTunes library.
2.Then plug in your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect your iPod as a device. select your iPod device on the left panel of iTunes, click “Music”tab, check the music you want to sync and click “Apply”, done.
