Solar Charger
Convenient power has much time been talked about among fanatical energy conservatists. Solar power takes place to be the the majority of considerable and free source of energy available. A excellent and effective way of making use of solar energy is solar battery charger. They are environmentally friendly and will make good use of daylight and are portable. The solar battery chargers restore the juice in your iPod, cell phone, and digital camera using stored energy from the sun or a typical wall socket.
The Solar battery charger is made up of small solar panels. The solar panel uses solar cells which are comprised of monocrystalline silicon water that turns sunlight into electricity via photovoltaic effect. There are many specifications for this iPhone charger, It has a lithium ion battery that offers 105% capacity of the iPhone and it is a 1500 mAh 3. 7 volt polymer battery.
A solar battery charger has two benefits. one point, this charger dissimilar to wall chargers, it does not make use of electrical power which you have to pay for to recharge your batteries, and it does not need an electrical outlet too. Solar battery chargers are a helpful tool if you have a long distance traveling. another point is that, you will be powering them with free, alternative, clean solar energy, stored in rechargeable batteries which require no environmentally-threatening disposal!A solar battery charger can recharge an iPod, MP3 player, laptop, cell phone, or hand-held game if you have a long distance trip.
Charge your mobile/cell phone/iphone with this amazingly inexpensive solar charger. It fits in your pocket and works with sunlight – which is anywhere! Never get stuck without an outlet again and impress your friends.

Belkin says that its Laptop Cooling Pad uses no more than 5% of a laptop’s battery
But sometimes that innovative spirit has been a detriment. Last year, Asustek issued a new version of its Eee on average every six weeks, which analysts said confused consumers.
“We might have offered too many models because of our competitive engineering culture,” Mr. Shih said, adding that the company won’t repeat this mistake. This year, Asustek plans to release three new versions.
When closed, the $20 Kensington LiftOff Portable Notebook Cooling Stand (Kensington.com) resembles a one-inch thick plastic briefcase with handles. Once the stand is opened, one piece lies flat while the other piece is raised to one of two heights, elevating the laptop. The top raised piece supports the laptop and has a hole in the center, designed to allow air to pass under the laptop, thus cooling it off without a fan. However, this no-fan method left my lap feeling a bit warm. When you’re done with the Kensington LiftOff, you can close it shut and carry it using its built-in handles. But its plastic parts felt flimsy and unstable, especially compared with the Belkin Laptop Cooling Lounge.
At an event this month, Acer unveiled a new line of notebooks, including a series of ultra-thin laptops called Acer Aspire Timeline, for which prices will start at $799. The new PCs use a low-voltage Intel Corp. processor that enables eight hours of HP DV8300 battery life.
Second, for all its thinness, the Adamo is relatively heavy. It weighs four pounds, versus three pounds for the Air.
Finally, it has mediocre Sony VGP-BPL4 life. In my tough battery test, where I turn off all power-saving features, leave on Wi-Fi, and play an endless loop of music, the Adamo got just 2 hours and 44 minutes, which likely translates in normal use to maybe 3.5 hours. By contrast, the Air lasted 40 minutes longer in the same test, and the Lenovo beat the Dell by 21 minutes.
The Eee was born of similar thinking. Although the idea seems simple — strip down a laptop and keep the price low — Mr. Shih said the company spent time trying to make sure it did many of the things consumers wanted. The machine starts quickly, it easily connects to the Internet and the battery lasts a long time.
Belkin’s $30 Laptop Cooling Pad (Belkin.com) reminded me of Microsoft’s offering in shape and size. Both are square, unlike the rectangular Logitech tray, and both have flip-out stands and a wave-like shape that leaves open space under the laptop. Belkin says that its Laptop Cooling Pad uses no more than 5% of a laptop’s battery. But the Belkin fan was slightly louder than Microsoft’s and considerably louder than Logitech’s. It also seemed to be a bit stronger, blowing more air than the others.
That’s luring consumers like Arun Ravindran, an information-technology consultant from Irvine, Calif., who had been using a desktop PC he built from components. “I always wanted a really small laptop that’s easy to carry around,” he says, but the offerings from companies like Sony Inc. were too expensive at $1,000 or more.
Like the Air and the ThinkPad 300 series, the Adamo uses a screen that’s about 13 inches, with good resolution. And, like its two competitors, it’s very thin. In fact, the Adamo is thinner than the tapered Air at the latter’s thickest point. The Adamo also has a far better selection of built-in ports than its Apple rival, though almost all are inconveniently placed in a Sony VGP-BPL2C protruding strip at the back of the machine.
Asustek started in 1989, when Mr. Shih and other top engineers left Acer and began building motherboards, the cards that hold microprocessors and other electronics in PCs. It remained a component supplier until 1997, when it launched its first Asus branded notebook.
Both the new iPhone and iPhone OS are packed with features that make a great product even better. But, for many users, the software may be enough of a boost to keep them from buying the new model.
Microsoft’s $30 Notebook Cooling Base (Microsoft.com/hardware) will come in white and black when it’s available early this summer (Amazon is accepting orders now). Compared with the Logitech, its fan was a little noisy. But the Microsoft tray was considerably smaller and thinner, making it more portable.

Iphone Power Adapter 220v

Top Tech Tips for Olim
Computers: Most desktop computers and laptops will work in Israel as they are 110/220 capable. You will need to either replace the cable or use an adapter to switch the plug. With Desktop systems, be sure to switch the power supply to 220-240 before you bring it to Israel.
- PCs – If you have a current PC purchased in the last 3 years, I would advise bringing it. You can then install the Hebrew language and get a Hebrew keyboard. If your PC is under warranty, check with the vendor to see if they will honor the warranty in Israel. If you are looking at getting a new PC, it is worthwhile to pay a little extra in Israel to insure that you will have a warranty on the system, with Hebrew pre-configured.
- Macs – Macs will work in Israel. If you have one, bring it. I would recommend taking out Applecare on the system before Aliyah. IDigital, an Apple reseller in Israel, will honor the Applecare warranty.
GPS: A GPS in Israel will cost at least twice the cost of one purchased in the States. If you have a GPS unit, you may be able to purchase additional maps for it. Contact the vendor or look for third party solutions. If you have an IPHONE 3G, the Google maps will work here in Israel.
If you don’t mind the small screen, there are GPS capable phones offered by the carriers with GPS service at a significant cost advantage over purchasing a GPS device in Israel.
Cell Phones: Most Unlocked Quad Band-GSM phones will work here in Israel. Your CDMA based phone (Phones without a SIM card) will not work here. While IPHONE 3G is not officially supported here, if it is Jailbroken and Unlocked, it will work with most carriers here. Orange & Cellcom now offer Blackberry Internet service for Blackberries. You can now get BIS service for your Blackberry without having a Blackberry Enterprise Server.
Voice over IP Phones: There are a number of options:
- VoIP Box – You can bring in a VoIP box from Vonage, Teleblend and other carriers. You will be able to bring your phone number with you and make unlimited calls back to the states.
- MajicJack – A device that connects to your PC or MAC, will allow you to place and receive unlimited calls to the states for about $40 annually. They do not allow you to port your existing number as of yet, but claim this feature will be added sometime this year. Many of these solutions suffer from poor quality when used here in Israel. This is usually as a result of the latency (the number of routers the traffic passes through) from Israel to the States.
- 012 , 014, & 018 – These ISP services allow you to make low cost calls to the States from your Israeli land line or cell phone. The quality of the calls is good, however, you are paying by the minute. This solution works well if you only need to make occasional calls and do not require a US-based number for inbound calls.
- Skype – offers unlimited calling plans to a single country for $5.95 or worldwide for $12.95. Additionally, you can buy a number from the country you are moving from, so that your family and friends can initiate calls to you. If you prefer to use a phone to make and receive your calls, there are a number of devices that allow you to use Skype on your existing phone or with a specialized Skype phone. Skype has recently been released for the IPhone 3G. With a properly configured IPhone, you can use Skype to make and receive calls from Israel and to your friends and family abroad on an unlimited plan.
- Zenofon – A US-based service that offers low cost calling, from the States, internationally. The service is in Beta and they are offering a free $10 credit to try the service. This is a great way for family and friends to stay in touch with you.
- Talk ‘n Save – A service that offers a US number on your Israel land line or cell phone. They offer discounted prices on calls to the States.
TV: While most newer televisions are capable of working on 220V, if you want to receive television signals in Israel you’ll need a set that is PAL capable. There are multi-region sets that can display NTSC and PAL. With a YES cable you can get a B&W signal on an NTSC set connected to their cable box. There are also PAL tuners that will work on NTSC TV sets, however the quality of the image is often poor. If you simply want to use your TV to watch VHS and DVD, you can bring your NTSC equipment to watch your existing collection, but you will not be able to view PAL movies purchased in Israel. The best option would be to purchase a multi-system unit so you can watch PAL (TV, Israel DVD, Israel VHS) and NTSC (VHS and DVD’s from the states) on your television.
Video: Just like televisions in Israel run on the PAL standard, so do VHS and DVD. To watch a VHS, you would need either a PAL VCR, or a Multi-VCR. With DVDs, in addition to the format difference, they are often region encoded to work with players from that region only. If you would like the capability to view movies from the US and Israel, look for a region free, multi-system (PAL/NTSC) unit that supports110/220.
Tivo: While Tivo will not work in Israel, the Cable Companies offer DVR service. To check out cost comparisons on many of these services, check out www.kamaze.co.il

Is Solar Energy Starting To Live Up To It’S Promise?
After years of over promising and under delivering, the solar Industry is finally starting to show some interesting developments which have the potential to make solar power as cheap as fossil fuel on a cost-per-watt basis within five years.
Getting us to that state, called grid parity, would require solar companies to produce power for around $1 a watt. Is it possible anytime soon? Many analysts think so and the target date being touted around is 2015. The reason for this fresh optimism is a mixture of technological development and simple economics. Traditional conductive materials make up 40% to 50% of the cost of a finished module. Newer conductive materials (including, amorphous silicon, cadmium telluride and copper indium diselenide) only need to be about one micron thick, so material costs are significantly reduced.
But thin film solar cells are just the beginning. Here are a few more examples of the most cutting-edge and interesting advances in solar energy and the companies behind them.
Solar Energy – from salt : Rice Solar Energy, a spin-off of United Technologies, is planning a solar energy installation in Riverside County, California. Salt – 4.4 million gallons’ worth will be stored in a 538-foot tower surrounded by 18,000 mirrors called heliostats. The heliostats will aim light at the tower, subjecting the salt inside to such great temperatures that it melts, which in turn creates steam which then spins the turbine thus creating electricity.
Internet access – from sunlight : Late last year, Meraki, a provider of wireless networking solutions, developed a solar self-powered WiFi device. The Meraki “Solar” uses a solar panel and a solar-charged battery to provide Internet access in hard-to-wire areas. The units can be mounted on roofs or poles or anywhere else that receives sun exposure.
iPhone juice – without an outlet : Anyone who has an iPhone is plagued by the relatively low battery life, but we were recently alerted to a solution in that beacon of invention oddities, the SkyMall catalog. A company called Novothink recently developed the first Apple-approved solar charger for the iPhone. The $70 “Surge” is like an iPhone case, except it has a solar panel on the back. Just snap it on, and you’ll have full access to the iPhone, while you charge. It even comes with a cord so you can hang the iPhone from a backpack or your wrist while outside. It will keep you Twittering all day long.
While all of those devices may be interesting, the first question on the minds of many may be just how close we are to generating all of our householder electricity from solar power. The answer: Closer than you think. One Japanese company, The Seven Ryoju Estate Group Companies, recently announced that it has developed a rooftop unit called the “Eco Sky Roof” that can provide 65 percent of a household’s energy consumption from solar power. The roof works by creating a path of hot air between solar panels and a roof. That heat can be used to generate household heat and hot water, as well as electricity. The first installations are expected in 2010.
If Solar companies can stay the course and deliver on their promises, maybe a world powered by clean energy has a chance of becoming reality.

There are 2 models, the NT01 which is for the iPhone and the NT02 for the iPod touch 2G. The first site you gave is for the iPod. No matter where you buy from you will get the USB cable as it’s included in the packaging.
If you use any other site outside of Solar Arcadia you will be waiting until March as well.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
-
Is this phone like the iPhone?
No, this phone is better than the iPhone! Unlike the iPhone, the M43 comes fully unlocked and ready for use with any network or carrier straight out of the box. You do not need to use any firmware hacks and risk “bricking” the phone. The M43 also has dual SIM and video recording functionality (unlike the iPhone) and doesn’t require a firmware update to send/receive MMS messages. -
Is this phone like the Chinese HiPhone, APhone, SciPhone and or Chinese touchscreen phones?
No, this is better than all of them. Unlike with other Chinese touchscreen phones, the M43 comes with a full 12-month warranty from Chinavasion along with a professional in-house customer support service. You can also be secure in the knowledge that your M43 has gone through rigorous QC testing before it is shipped direct to you. -
This phone has an accelerometer, what exactly is that?
This is a built-in motion sensor that tracks when the electronic device has been tilted or swiveled. It is a feature most commonly used to change images in a photo viewer or to change tracks in an audio player. -
How many phone book contacts can this cellphone hold?
This phone can up to 600 contacts. 200 contacts for each of the two SIM cards, and another 200 in the phone memory itself. -
How long should I charge the battery before first use?
Before you use the battery for the first time, please charge it for 12 hours. -
Can I change the ringtone on this cellphone?
This phone comes with 10 default ring tones featuring famous songs like the Theme from Mission Impossible and The Pachelbel Canon. Or you can easily use your own music track as a ring tone. Better yet, use the sound recorder function to record your own voice and use that as your ringtone. -
What is the purpose of the rotating touchscreen?
A rotating touchscreen is convenient if you want to take pictures of yourself and by twisting and laying it flat, you can transform this unit into a iPhone-type mobile phone. -
It says this cellphone comes in polished black. What does that mean?
To get a sense of polished black think about a black grand piano and how the wood finish looks like. That’s polished black. -
How do I record phone conversations with this phone?
While you are in conversation, the menu will display a record option. Once you’re done recording, simply activate the sound recorder program and play the file you just recorded. -
Should I load MP3′s or WAV music files into my phone to listen to?
It’s a trade off really. With MP3′s, you get lower audio quality, but because of its small file size you can fit more into memory. With WAV files, you get CD quality music, but on average, one WAV file is equivalent in size to ten MP3 files.
